$1800 per eye is our usual fee, but for a limited time, we are offering the very
same service for $2950 for both eyes. This fee includes the comprehensive LASIK
evaluation, the procedure, one year follow up care, post-op eye care with your optometric
physician or Triad (your choice).
In considering the cost of LASIK remember that it's a one-time expense compared
with buying a new pair of glasses every year or so for the rest of your life or
compared with the cost of contacts, cleaning fluids and eye wash for the next 20
years or so.
Financing is available, with payments as low as $65. per month. Corporate and other
special discounts may apply. "No down payment" plans are also available. Please
contact us for more details.
Other options include: Capitol One, (877-559-5050), Amerisite (877-507-4448) and
Care Credit (800-365-8298). These lenders have flexible monthly payment options,
specifically designed for refractive surgery. Low fixed interest rates range from
9.99% to 12.99%, with no initial payment and no prepayment penalty.
Most insurance companies view LASIK as elective surgery and for that reason do not
cover the cost of LASIK. However, we do encourage you to check with your employer/provider
as we are finding that some insurance companies are offering a patient discount.
Yours just might be one of them.
LASIK qualifies as a medical expense. Therefore, you can pay for the procedure via
a flexible spending account if your employer's benefit program is set up that way.
Depending on a person's tax bracket, payment through one of these plans could result
in more than $1,000 in tax savings if you have LASIK on both eyes. Consult your
tax advisor and employer benefit plan for details.
In addition, we've had several patients finance LASIK surgery by accessing their
home equity credit lines. Of course, the interest on these loans is often tax deductible.
